Your Sailing Story Place Forum gives you the chance to tell lots of sailors about a sailing experience that was scary, funny,  memorable, exciting or taught you a lesson.  The best stories will be given a page on The Sailors Place like I did for my story - "The Black Hand Crew".  Yours does not have to be that long, however and you can do more than one.

Click on the "Sailing Music" button and find resources to get music with a sailing theme and listen to some of the old Sea Chantys. At the bottom of the page there is a link to four seafaring MP3 songs and a site with many, many more songs for you to hear.

Need to learn (or just remember) how to tie sailing knots?  Or see some ways to use knots that are special?  Click on the "Special Knots" button.  You will also find a site that shows how to tie many knots using a very well done animated, visual presentation.

The "Navigation" button takes you to a page that has great resources for the sailor looking for navigation tools and information.  There is a FREE CHART PLOTTER that you can hook up with a GPS and that is just a start on what you will find here.

There is a lot more on The Sailors Place and, also, a couple of "personal" pages.  One of them is the "Black Hand Crew" button on your left (as you look at this page).  That is a story I wrote about my first offshore trip I took as a crew member of the "Pretty Woman", a 43' Custom C & C.  We sailed from Seattle, WA to San Francisco, CA and it was a major big deal for me!  Another "personal" page that you will find is a technique I "invented" for Quick Release Sail Ties - click on the "QuickRelease" button.
