Information To Help You Tell Your Sailing Story
First -- anyone can go to the "YOUR SAILING STORY PLACE"
Forum and see what sailing stories have been posted. Just
click on the blue heading above to read the stories. Plan on returning to The Sailors Place to read the
new sailing stories as they are added to the "YOUR SAILING STORY PLACE"
Forum.
Second -- If you are at all "insecure" about writing your
sailing story --
I have developed a Sailing Story Information Form that you can
use. When you click the "Submit" button it is sent to me and I will
put together the information you send in story form. You will get an
E-Mail from me with what I write which you can edit or okay.
When you send me back the edited draft I will place it on
"YOUR SAILING STORY PLACE" and sign you up as a member at the
same time.

To WRITE your first sailing story
yourself and post it in "YOUR SAILING STORY PLACE" you
will need to register as a "Participant/Member". To do that you click on
the blue heading above and then on the link in the upper left hand corner of
the "YOUR SAILING STORY PLACE" opening page that says (Register).
That takes you to a page
requesting your E-mail Address, a User Name and a Password. At the bottom of the
page is a box to check indicating that you agree with the Terms of Use
and a link to check that says: "Register". Click on that.
If everything is filled out
correctly you will go back to the Opening Page of the "YSSP" and you can pick a
category and write your story. You can edit it after you have finished if
needed. Be sure to write your user name and password somewhere that
will help you remember them. You will receive an E-mail sent to the
address you provided, confirming your registration information.
I wrote the "YSSP" example story in a Word Processor first.
Then I did a "copy" [Ctrl-C] of the highlighted story and "paste" [Ctrl-V] in
the "YSSP" Topic area.
SPECIAL NOTE: THE INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE TO BE A MEMBER OF THE "YSSP" [E-mail Address especially] IS TOTALLY CONFIDENTIAL AND WILL NOT BE GIVEN TO ANYONE ELSE!
