Here Are Some Places For Sailing E-Books To see what is available at each site below Click on the Blue Arrows
REVIEW FROM THE ABOVE SITE: Fantastic book. Captain Slocum is a famous "man of the sea" who sailed around the world alone about the turn of the 20th century. Not at all hard to read, especially if you like reading stories about the sea. BTW, there is an international Slocum society now, founded to support those who travel long distances in small boats: www.joshuaslocumsocietyintl.org
The
E-Books at eBooks.com are for sale. Here is one that is only
$4.99.
REVIEW FROM THE ABOVE SITE: Ostensibly the tale of his 1980 voyage across the Atlantic Ocean, Atlantic High is William F. Buckley's extended meditation on the pleasures of sailing and good company. Not surprisingly, as much thought seems to have gone into stocking the wine cellar as to charting out the route. It is an essay on appreciation, and a chance for Buckley to share his spirited point of view and exercise his unique sense of humor.
REVIEW FROM THE ABOVE SITE: By J. J. & Peter Isler: There are more than 40,000 members of the United States Sailing Association, and thousands of people take sailing lessons every year. This accessible guide by two championship sailors takes the mystery out of sailing–from choosing a boat, launching it, and maneuvering under sail to charting a course, dealing with bad weather, and docking–even for people who can’t tell port from starboard.
The three E-Books are "Firebrand Passages"; "Cruising Suggestions" and "Racing Suggestions". "Firebrand" is the Posey's sailboat. The Interactive tutorials are "Rules of the Road" and "Racing Rules of Sailing". The cost is $10.00 (download) and $15.00 (CD).
Marine E-Books by Tony Herrick. Some of the E-Books have a cost - some are free. You might find something you would want to download -- the selection is quite limited.
