How To Download Screen Savers
EXAMPLE: DOWNLOADING THE RYC-MID07.SCR FILE
1. Click the Yellow "Download" button for the Screen Saver "ryc-mid07.scr"
2. This takes you to "The Sailors Place Download Page"
3. Click the White "Download" button
4. In the "File Download - Security Warning" box, click the "Run" button
5. In the "Internet Explorer - Security Warning" box, click the "Run" button
6. In the "RYC 2007 Small Boat Midwinters Setup" box (there will be a different title for other Screen Savers) make sure the file area says: C:/WINDOWS. If not, then click the "Browse" button and click on the "Windows" Directory. When you have C:/WINDOWS in the file area then click on the "Install" button.
7. You will get a box titled "Display Properties" and you can set the time it takes for the pictures to start displaying in the "Wait:" section among other things.
8. When you click on the "OK" button in the "Display Properties" Dialogue Box the ryc-mid07 Screen Saver is fully installed and will start displaying pictures after the computer is "idle" for the number of minutes you selected in the "Wait:" box.
9. The Screen Saver file is in the Windows Directory and has the extension ".scr". For instance, the ryc-mid07.scr Screen Saver will be found, now, in the Windows Directory.
You can always get the "Display Properties" Dialogue Box by right clicking on your Desktop (the page that has the "START" button in the lower left corner) and clicking on "Properties" (in Windows XP – other Windows versions have a similar process).
When the "Display Properties" Dialogue Box appears, you click on the "Screen Saver" Tab to get the section where you can change to other Screen Savers, turn them off by selecting "None" at the top of the list of Screen Savers and make changes in other ways.
